Dr. Awais is a Senior Lecturer of Finance at NZUWI, School of Accounting, Finance & Economics (SAFE), Waikato Management School, University of Waikato. He also serves as an Associate Editor in NUST Business Review, National University of Science & Technology and South Asian Review of Business and Administrative Sciences (SABAS). He is also a CFA Faculty Advisor for NZUWI CFA Research Challenge. He is the longest service employee at University of Waikato Joint Institute in Zhejiang University city college, Hangzhou, China. He is also a visiting professor in Webster University, ESSCA School of Management, USST Shanghai, Zhejiang University, Shanghai Normal University, Zhejiang University of Science & Technology, Zhejiang Gongshang University, HUST etc. Awais has interdisciplinary research interests that include, but are not limited to corporate governance, corporate social responsibility, environmental reporting, earnings management and family businesses. He is an active researcher and regularly publishes in high-quality journals. He has been presenting frequently in international research seminars. He regularly reviews papers for top-ranked journals. Awais believes in research-informed teaching and has taught Finance courses such as Entrepreneurial Finance, Corporate Finance, Portfolio Investment & Management, Capital Markets etc. at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
