NZUWI Hosts On-campus Event with Hangzhou Conference & Exhibition Industry Association and Affiliated Enterprises

On November 1, 2024, Member Enterprises of the Hangzhou Conference & Exhibition Industry Association (HCEA) into Campus was held with Graduation Design Kick-off Meeting for the Convention and Exhibition Economics and Management Major of 2025 in The University of Waikato Joint Institute At Hangzhou City University (NZUWI). Ye Min, President of HCEA, and He Min (Shirley), Executive Dean of NZUWI, addressed participants at the event. Lei Yanan, Deputy Secretary General of HCEA, Wang Liuying, Deputy Secretary of CPC, Lu Wu, Associate Dean, teachers and students of the major participated in the event.
The event included the signing of the strategic agreement on the integration of industry and education, a medal awarding ceremony for production and education integration practice centers, the issuing of appointment letters of industry mentors, and the announcing of the topic of graduation design for Convention and Exhibition Economics and Management Majors (BDM).
First, He Min introduced the background and achievements of NZUWI. She expressed her hope that under the guidance of HCEA more and more exhibition industry enterprises join NZUWI to form a community cultivating talent together to promote international, composite and applied talents for the exhibition industry.
Ye Min said that HCEA hopes to provide students with opportunities to expand their horizons and practice through cooperation and exchanges with NZUWI. HCEA intends to have the voice of industry experts directly transmitted to the students so as to promote the combination of theory and practice.
HCEA signed a strategic cooperation agreement with NZUWI, and awarded NZUWI the vice president unit of HCEA.
NZUWI established production and education integration practice centers with HCEA and 5 affiliated enterprises, while also hiring 6 representatives from the companies as the industry mentors to NZUWI.
Mr. Wang Ji, Chairman of Zhejiang Provincial Culture and Art Development Co., LTD., released the graduation design project topics from his company for BDM students in 2025. More than 30 enterprise topics were also released at this kick-off meeting. Students may choose one of these topics as their graduation design project topic. After the signing and award ceremonies, Ms. Lu Wu and the guests opened a salon of "Digital Exhibition Empowering Production and Teaching Integration,"as digital exhibition has recently become a major trend in the exhibition industry. The guests shared cases on how to use new quality productivity to foster the exhibition economy, and discussed the professional quality and innovation ability that exhibition practitioners should have in the digital era. |
