On April 14, Hangzhou City University (HZCU) held the 2024 "Trinity" comprehensive quality test. While students were taking their exams in the exam hall, in the southern campus, accompanied by melodious piano, parents were guided by NZUWI-uniformed student "ambassadors" to visit NZUWI buildings. In front of several -institutional guidance counseling points, parents - lined up to inquire about the various NZUWI degree programs.
A team composed of expert NZUWI academic staff, student volunteers and student "ambassadors" provided parents with visit, reception, consultation, and Q&A services on the test day.
The " Trinity " enrollment work of NZUWI was launched in February, and involves multiple personnel and services, such as enrollment publicity, enrollment question counseling via a hotline service, on-site presentations in middle schools, volunteer selection and training, visit and reception, and cross-departmental collaboration. The work involved in these recruitment and enrollment services was led by the leadership team of NZUWI, and several coordination meetings were held in the early stage to repeatedly polish the clarity of all provided guidance and consider the enrollment materials. NZUWI regards every examinee as their future students. Regarding such matters seriously is a hallmark of NZUWI, which aims to present the most authentic portrayal of the college for students and parents.
Waiting areas for parents The waiting time for parents was well spent as volunteers guided parents to the NZUWI building for a tour.
Professional Consultation (Chinese) Expert NZUWI Chinese academic staff from three majors (Finance, Convention and Exhibition Economics and Management, and Industrial Design) answered questions and provided guidance to parents, introducing professional courses. The display of alumni from previous years attracted parents to stop and watch.
Professional Consultation (New Zealand) Professional Consultation (Academic English) Expert NZUWI academic staff from the University of Waikato in New Zealand and Academic English teachers were consulted by parents. The college also arranged translation volunteers to translate for parents.
NZUWI's "ambassador"-provided guidance and introduction What about NZUWI? Students have the most to say - a team of NZUWI "ambassadors" made up of students were also in the building to provide parents a detailed introduction. "Actually, I was very shy when I first entered NZUWI. I didn't want to speak in front of strangers at all," one "ambassador" of NZUWI, Min, a student of BDM cohort 2021, told the parents surrounding her. Continuing, "But there are more opportunities for presentations and group speeches here, from having to speak in front of people to now being able to stand here with ease."
Examination areas for examinees The waiting time passed by in a flash, and as the examinees walked out of the examination hall, they also received blessings from NZUWI. Examinees learned about NZUWI again from the admissions brochure and put pen to paper about their future. NZUWI blessed the examinees with special gifts. "I was a little nervous during the exam," an examinee said. "When I came out, I felt very surprised about the gift bag I got. It was a gift I didn't expect, and I was a little touched."
There were also examinees and parents who visited NZUWI again after leaving the examination room. "Because I am particularly satisfied with the reception and consultation provided by NZUWI, I will definitely bring my child to the NZUWI building to take a look, " some parents said, continuing, "Thank you very much for NZUWI’s careful arrangement of, the enthusiastic reception from the students, and the patient answers from the academic staff. I am looking forward to the opportunity for my child to come to NZUWI."
