International faculty and English teaching

NZUWI has a world-class group of teaching staff, composed of a majority of foreign teachers.

We offer English-only teaching in small classes, focussing on teacher-student interaction and teamwork, enlightening and fostering students’ abilities to discern and resolve problems, and shaping students' critical and creative thinking.

Mature mode and solid foundation

The two institutions mutually initiated an undergraduate education joint programme in 2002.

With rich experience in cooperation and smooth coordination, the joint programme consistently produces good outcomes, resulting in each becoming the other’s best partner for international education.

Popular majors and dual degrees for two colleges

The three majors offered are closely in line with the regional economic and social development needs of Zhejiang. They are also popular majors a dominant curriculum backed by the strengths of the two colleges.

Given its multi-disciplinary structure, students can obtain dual degrees for two different disciplines in China and New Zealand, which is the real sense of “dual degree”.

Excellent location and advanced facilities

Hangzhou is an important international central city in the Yangtze River Delta. Located in Gongshu District of Hangzhou, our college is one of the few tertiary educational institutes still in the downtown area.

NZUWI features a myriad of support facilities, including independent education buildings, student dormitory buildings, a large number of mobile seats, touch screen audiovisual equipment, MAC computers, PCs, LCD TVs, wireless projection screens and other advanced teaching facilities on a small-class basis.
